At the University of Tübingen, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Department of Computer Science, newly-established Research Group “Decision-Making”, are several
(Ph.D. student/Post-Doc, m/f/d, compensation according to E 13 TV-L Germany)
positions available to be filled in Fall 2020. The duration of employment is 3-5 years, depending on the specific project.
Job Description:
The main duty is to deliver high-quality research results in different domains of decision-making under uncertainty, specifically in multi-agent systems. Specific topics include Federated/Transfer/Active Learning, Multi-Armed Bandit, Inverse Reinforcement Learning.
Profile description:
Applicants must possess an excellent and recent Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science (machine learning, artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems), Mathematics (operations research, statistics, game theory), Electrical Engineering (wireless communications), Statistical Physics, or another tightly related field. The applicant shall demonstrate a strong mathematical background and the motivation to work on theoretical problems. Good programming skills (at least MATLAB or Python) and English proficiency are necessary.
