Subject: ECEP BPC Data Planning Tool - Annual Meeting
To: mgarvin at umbc.edu

The Expanding Computing Education Pathways (ECEP) Alliance is holding the
2018 ECEP Annual Meeting, *Measuring What Matters: **Ensuring Progress in
State-Level Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC) Efforts*, in
Atlanta, GA Jan. 26-27, 2018. This meeting focuses on four strategic areas
of BPC work: defining BPC, re-thinking measurement systems, setting
measurable goals, and building sustainable pathways.

While developing the meeting goals and agenda, ECEP and the Evaluator
Working Group (EWG) developed a data tool designed to plan for and track
broadening participation at the state level. The Broadening Participation
Ease and Value template and State Data template (combined in one document,
linked below) are the drivers of the annual meeting. The templates may need
input from different people to complete (i.e. those steering strategy and
those who access data), however, the two templates should be reviewed by
the members of the ECEP team attending the summit.

*Guidelines for completing this document:*

   - This process should be led by your state leadership team
   - Review and discuss the templates with your ECEP state team and annual
   meeting attendees
   - There will be questions, please ask them.
      - There will be items that you can't respond to, make note of them.
This is an iterative process. ECEP and EWG want to build a
strong tool. We
      need to hear from you.
      - Please complete one document

per state and return to Rebecca Zarch <rzarch at sagefoxgroup.com> at
   SageFox by Dec. 22, 2017.
   - Full process and details are outlined in the document.

If you have questions or ideas about this process and tool, please
email Rebecca
Zarch <rzarch at sagefoxgroup.com> and Sarah Dunton <sdunton at cs.umass.edu>.

Thank you.
