Brief notes from the Google grant call today regarding the 2018 awards:

The program rebranded for 2018 to broaden and reach pre-service teachers
and teachers beyond high school level. The 10 year anniversary for this
program is in 2018. The website has changed with new stories to share.

Priority for this cycle of awards includes:

   - equity (teachers and students in areas with less access and
   underrepresented groups)
   - scale (how can your pd scale to new areas/additional teachers;
   dissemination across the state; meaningfully engage within other classrooms)
   - effectiveness (teachers must leave PD with ability to integrate CS &
   computational thinking directly into their classroom; measurable outcomes-
   confidence, knowledge, skills, etc.)

Refer to application companion online or send questions while writing the
application.
