Dear Colleagues,

Applications are now open for the *UKRI AI Centre for Doctoral Training in
AI for Sustainability (SustAI) at the University of Southampton, UK*. This
four-year, fully funded PhD programme integrates training and research
across five themes: AI for Sustainable Operations and Circular Economy, AI
for Transportation and Logistics, AI for Sustainable Energy and Buildings,
AI for the Natural Environment, and Sustainable AI.

The programme offers an enhanced tax-free stipend, tuition fees, and a
substantial research budget. Funded positions are available for applicants
from the UK, the EU, and Horizon-associated countries

with up to 8 positions for UK applicants (which includes UK nationals and
those with indefinite leave to remain in the UK) and up to 4 for those from
the EU and Horizon-associated countries. Applicants should have a strong
academic background and a keen interest in AI and sustainability. The next

We are looking for candidates interested in various areas of AI research
and sustainability-related application domains. SustAI students can develop
their own proposal and select their supervisory team during the first
semester.
