The Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems Research (L-CAS) is looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in agent-based modelling and/or market design.

The post is fixed for 12 months, with strong support for career development and progression, in a growing research group with many opportunities for contract extension. Given the current situation, we will be flexible about the need to relocate to Lincoln.

The successful candidate will be working on building an agent-based model of the food supply chain, developing novel market-based approaches that smooth fluctuations in demand across the supply chain, thus helping to reduce food waste. This work is part of a large project, funded by Innovate UK, with the aim of digitising the food supply chain, fusing IoT, blockchain and AI layers to improve productivity, traceability and reduce waste.

Informal enquiries about the post can be made to Simon Parsons (email: sparsons at lincoln.ac.uk), and full details are available here: https://jobs.lincoln.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=COS797

The closing date for applications is Friday 18 December 2020.
