Special Issue "Sensor Systems for Internet of Things"
Sensors
IF: 2.475
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 31 October 2019
Dear Colleague,
Internet of Things (IoT) technology allows gathering data from everywhere and it can be used for any type of environment (e.g., cities, rural zones, etc.). Sensors and sensor networks allow all things to communicate directly with each other to share vital information, which let us have everything monitored and leading to better services. Moreover, accurate data is available to inform optimal decision making. The IoT enables a wide range of new capabilities and services. It changes how people go about their lives and their belongings. The scale of the IoT is set to have major economic, social, and environmental impacts, the intersection of which forms future sustainable growth.
This Special issue is an open call, but we encourage the submission of the best selected papers of the IEEE Internet of Things: Systems, Management and Security (IoTSMS 2019) meeting held in Granada, Spain on October 22-25, 2019. The scope of the Special Issue is placed on IoT development, analysis, and integration, with a focus on the role of sensor systems and information gathering and processing techniques of IoT ecosystems.
You are welcome to submit an unpublished original research work related to the theme of Sensor Systems for Internet of Things.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1800 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
