The 31st annual workshop of the Swedish Artificial Intelligence Society
(SAIS 2019) is held in Umeå, Sweden on June 18 - 19, 2019.
The SAIS workshop has since its first edition been a forum for building
the Swedish Artificial Intelligent (AI) research community and nurture
networks across academia and industry. The main purpose of SAIS 2019 is
to meet across national AI initiatives to further grow the AI network in
the Nordic countries. We invite AI researchers, as well as scientists
from related research disciplines and industry practitioners, from
Sweden and neighboring countries, to join us in Umeå!
SAIS 2019 welcomes both theoretical and applied contributions from all
areas of AI, including (but not limited to) traditional topics such as
search, machine learning, planning, knowledge representation, reasoning,
natural language processing, and multi-agent systems.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We invite three types of contributions to the SAIS workshop:
* 4 pages extended abstract describing ongoing research: We encourage to
submit general descriptions of current ongoing projects.
* 2 pages extended abstracts of papers published by AI venues, e.g. AI
journals and AI conference, within the last 12 months.
* 1-2 pages abstract describing ongoing Ph.D. projects (the first author
has to be a Ph.D. student). Recommendations for Ph.D. project abstracts:

introduced and motivated.
o If the Ph.D. student is interested in joining mentor sessions, the
student has to attach an extra paragraph describing his/her motivation
for joining mentor sessions.
The program committee will review all the abstracts in order to give
feedback to the authors. The accepted abstracts will be presented either
as oral presentations or posters.
The accepted abstracts will be published in the electronic workshop
proceedings. Copyright stays with the authors and authors of previously
unpublished abstract accepted by the SAIS workshop are encouraged to
submit these to other workshops or conferences.
All submissions should be in PDF and must be written in English
following the Lecture Notes on Artificial Intelligent format by
Springer. All abstract should be submitted through EasyChair:

Depending on the interest of the Ph.D. students attending SAIS 2019 to
join mentor sessions further information will be sent out to the
registered Ph.D. students. The mentor sessions aim to organize small
group meetings between Ph.D. students and senior researchers.
A special issue in an international journal can be planed after the
