Several PhD positions are available, supported by scholarships that include
a monthly stipend and tuition fees, with the "Choice Manipulation and
Security Games" project at the School of Computer Science and Engineering
(SCSE) of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
PhD starting date is either January 2018 or August 2018.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: "Choice Manipulation and Security Games".

Over a decade now, game theoretic and decision theoretic methods have been
successfully used to allocate security and other scarce resources under a
persistent threat. The more recent advancements in this area have
recognised the similarity between security domains and formal methods of
persuasion and choice manipulation. One of the more successful examples of
exploiting this similarity where the works on publicly releasing
security-related information to increase the efficiency of a security
resource allocation.
In the current project we seek to further develop and exploit choice
manipulation in security-like domains, concentrating on dynamic
environments and a repeatedly, continually acting adversary.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) is part of the
College of Engineering at NTU, and offers a range of highly competitive
specialisations.

SCSE is home to a wide range of research expertise, from Computer Vision to
Machine Learning, and from Big-Data to Multi-Agent Systems. Represented by
more than a hundred faculty members, this comprises a most versatile and
rich environment for AI-related research with strong impact on the field.
