          </b><br>
          We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Third
          International Conference on <b><i>Research on Equity and
              Sustained Participation in Engineering, Computing, and
              Technology (RESPECT) <span class="gmail-il">2018</span></i></b>.
          RESPECT <span class="gmail-il">2018</span> will be held
          February 18th, <span class="gmail-il">2018</span> in
          Baltimore, MD USA. This conference is technically Co-Sponsored
          by IEEE Computer Society and In Cooperation with the ACM
          Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE).
          For the first time, RESPECT will be co-located with SIGCSE on
          February 21, <span class="gmail-il">2018</span> in Baltimore,
          MD.<br>
          <br>
          <i>Founded in 2015, the conference is brought together by a
            shared interest in the complex and subtle relationships
            between equity and inclusion and broadening participation in
            computing, technology, and engineering. For more

          We invite proposals for paper presentations, lightning talks,
          or posters  by September 25, 2017 in the following areas: 
          <ul>
            <li>Inclusive computing curricula and pedagogy<br>
            </li>
            <li>Recruiting and retention strategies for college
              computing departments<br>
            </li>
            <li>Computing outreach in K12<br>
            </li>
            <li>Teacher factors such as preparation to support learning
              computing for diverse students, efficacy, beliefs and
              attitudes, or access to support<br>
            </li>
            <li>Sociological factors in the pursuit of and persistence
              in CS education such as contemporary racial attitudes,
              culture, or family life<br>
            </li>
            <li>Systemic approaches to addressing equity and inclusion
              in CS education at different levels of analysis, including
              the institution, the groups or units that constitute
              institutions, and the networks in which institutions are
              embedded<br>
            </li>
            <li>Computing education research focused on differential
              impacts based on diversity and/or intersectionality (e.g.,
              gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, LGBT
              status)<br>
