>From GT Wrobel at Code.org about proposed College Board changes to CS-P:

Right now we're thinking about composing a really simple collective letter
to the CB stating only that we can't update our curriculum and PD to absorb
all the changes currently being proposed in time for the 19-20 school year.
Our team still has separate concerns about the spirit of the course
changing, but we want to address the timeline first since that seems like
something that it will be easiest to get collective support for.

It's worth noting that I think the CB heard this message loud and clear
this past week and that I think they are trying very hard to respond
quickly to feedback. I can't guarantee they'll eventually do the right
thing, but I think they were at least listening to our suggestions and
needs. The DC also sounds like it might eventually be more interested in
hearing the input of providers which I think also is promising. None of
this is locked down, however, so we want to tackle things in order and just
formally inform the CB that after further consideration we know the
timeline proposed is untenable for our teams but that we'd be eager to help
them make updates to the course and framework on a more reasonable time
frame.

Again happy to provide your team a more detailed accounting of all the
questions and issues discussed last week. Just wanted you to know about
that letter as well. Let me know the best way to work on this. We'll be
happy to chat some time next week.

Cheers,
GT
