I use "9 Algorithms That Changed the Future" by John MacCormack for selected readings that go along with the curriculum in addition to the two books that Joe referenced.

We use two texts both of which can be obtained as free digital versions or in printed versions.
The textbooks are Blown to Bits<http://www.bitsbook.com/> and Python for Everybody<https://www.py4e.com/book> (Python for Everybody is the Python 3 version of an earlier Python 2 version named Python for Informatics: Exploring Information.
Readings from Blown to Bits are assigned at various times in the course while Python for Everybody is a supplementary text which supports teaching programming along with the electronic text in Runestone Interactive named How to Think Like a Computer Scientist.
