[Csmatters-umbc] Travel update

The rail and air strikes in France are wreaking havoc with my trip. My
Delta flight (operated by Air France, who is in the midst of a series of
"rolling strikes") to Paris was cancelled, and I was rebooked on a slightly
later flight. I was supposed to fly back on Tuesday (tomorrow), but that
had now become a strike date, so I changed my flight to Monday (today).
Apparently that wasn't a good idea, because late last night, my Monday
flight was cancelled. They rebooked me on a flight on Wednesday, which of
course would have meant I'd miss the summit. This morning I was able to get
through to Delta (after an hour on hold) and they were able to get me on a
Delta flight tomorrow (Tuesday) that is NOT operated by Air France. It
routes me through Detroit and is a long day but hopefully will get me home
in time for the summit!! If not, somebody needs to step in for me
(suggestion: Jan can greet everyone at the beginning of the day and
introduce Bob Caret; Dianne can solo the MCCE session; and Jan and Dianne
can jointly lead the wrap-up).

Will keep you posted.

Marie
