      <p>The Intelligent Decision-Making group at UCI is looking to hire

        a post-doctoral researcher with expertise in artificial

        intelligence. Current research directions in the group include

        (see also idm-lab.org)</p>

      <ul>

        <li>    Robot coordination and planning for large-scale

          manufacturing and warehousing</li>

        <li>    Efficient navigation planning that trades off between

          two or more objectives</li>

        <li>    Multi-agent reinforcement learning</li>

        <li>    Coordination of delivery drones</li>

        <li>    Causal decision making</li>

      </ul>

      <p>The postdoctoral researcher is expected to contribute to one or

        more of these efforts. A Ph.D. is required at the start of the

        job, and publications in top AI venues are expected. Expertise

        in robot coordination on a large scale (such as multi-agent

        pathfinding), heuristic search, symbolic planning, probabilistic

        reasoning and planning, and/or causal reasoning is helpful.<br>

        The position is available immediately, but the starting date is

        negotiable. The initial contract will be for two years.<br>

        <br>

        Over 50 CS@UCI faculty members include 2 NAE Members, 14 ACM

        Fellows, 12 IEEE Fellows, 14 AAAS Fellows, 5 AAAI Fellows, 2

        IFIP Fellows, and 2 Academia Europea Members. The 2024 US News

        and World Report ranks UCI as a top 10 public university in the

        US.<br>

        UCI is located in Greater Los Angeles (Southern California,

        USA), 4 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Irvine offers a pleasant

        year-round climate and numerous recreational and cultural

        opportunities.<br>
