<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class=""><div class="">******************************************************</div><div class=""> Call for bids to Host the </div><div class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span> </div><div class="">20th European Agent Systems Summer School (EASSS 2018)</div><div class="">******************************************************</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">************************</div><div class="">ABOUT EASSS </div><div class="">************************</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Since 1999, the annual European Agent Systems Summer School (EASSS) has</div><div class="">provided a highly successful forum for knowledge exchange between</div><div class="">researchers in the field of autonomous agents and multi-agent systems.</div><div class="">The previous editions of EASSS took place in Gdansk (2017), Catania (2016), </div><div class="">Barcelona (2015), Chania (2014), London (2013), Valencia (2012), Girona (2011),</div><div class="">Saint-Etienne (2010), Turin (2009), Lisbon (2008), Durham (2007), Annecy</div><div class="">(2006), Utrecht (2005), Liverpool (2004), Bologna (2003), Barcelona</div><div class="">(2002), Prague (2001), Saarbruecken (2000), and Utrecht (1999).</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The summer schools offer a rich program of both introductory and advanced </div><div class="">courses on a broad range of topics in the area of Autonomous Agents and </div><div class="">Multi-Agent Systems. The courses are aimed at advanced Masters students, </div><div class="">PhD students, and other early stage researchers, and will be taught by leading </div><div class="">researchers in the field.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">EASSS is organized under the auspices of EURAMAS, the European</div><div class="">Association for Multi-Agent Systems (<a href="http://www.euramas.org/" class="">http://www.euramas.org/</a>).</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">************************</div><div class=""> CALL FOR BIDS</div><div class="">************************</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">This is a call for bids to host the 20th European Agent Systems Summer School </div><div class="">(EASSS) in 2018. We will consider bids from all geographical regions within Europe. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Bids should be made by individuals or small groups, with the backing</div><div class="">of a host institution (typically a university or research centre).</div><div class="">Please note that we seek bids from volunteers from the scientific</div><div class="">community, though they may be supported by paid meeting professionals.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">All correspondence regarding bids should be directed to the EURAMAS board member </div><div class="">responsible for the EASSS summer schools, Nils Bulling (<a href="mailto:bulling@in.tu-clausthal.de" class="">bulling@in.tu-clausthal.de</a>). </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The deadline for submitting bids is the *22nd of October 2017*.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">************************</div><div class="">INFORMATION TO PROVIDE</div><div class="">************************</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">A typical edition of the summer school is one week long and is usually held between July and </div><div class="">September (exceptions possible). Previous editions of the school attracted between 30-60 </div><div class="">students. The program consists of 10-15 tutorials (a scientific committee will be formed to </div><div class="">decide on the scientific program). Lunch and coffee breaks should be provided by the local </div><div class="">organizers. The aim is to keep registration, travel and accommodation costs low.
