Call for contributions in ESSA at work at SSC2025, taking place at TU Delft on
August 25th, 2025.
Deadline for contributions: 11 April 2025.
Are you currently working on an agent-based modeling project? Do you want
to discuss your work-in-progress model and get expert feedback to improve
your model? With ESSA at work you can have all this in a relaxed, friendly,
and encouraging setting!
ESSA at work is open to all interested modelers at any career stage; having a
work-in-progress model on which you would like expert and peer feedback is
the key requirement! Models can be at any stage of development. Those in
the early stages of development (e.g., at the design stage) should still
have a clear description of the purpose, scope, structure and logic of the
model. See our compact guides on submitting to ESSA at work

and things to remember

for more information. Note that ESSA at work submissions are not eligible for
publication in the conference proceedings.
Here is how it works: You present your work, invited experts discuss it -
with each other (and possibly the audience), so that you can gather all the
insights and information without having to defend your choices. This unique
format and the constructive atmosphere makes ESSA at work a valuable
experience for all participants.
Interested? You only have to complete a few simple steps to become part of
ESSA at work at SSC25:
-
Submit to the conference: An extended abstract, short paper, or a full
paper; please see https://ssc2025.tbm.tudelft.nl/important-information/
for details (deadline: 11 April 2025)
-
Indicate that you wish to submit your extended abstract or full paper to
the ESSA at work workshop during submission.
-
Complete the short ESSA at work application form which includes a few
questions to help us understand how best to identify and match you with
modelling experts. Please complete the ESSA at work application
<https://forms.gle/4vUA5TWumyys2ksL9> form also by 11 April 2025. Note
that submissions to the conference flagged for ESSA at work but without a
corresponding ESSA at work application form will not be considered.
Any questions? Contact us at essaatworkgroup at gmail.com.
