Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to submit your work to the second edition of the workshop BDAI 2025 "New Frontiers in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence", which will be held in Aosta (Italy) at the University of Valle d'Aosta on May 29-30, 2025.
Important dates

* Notification of acceptance: April 30, 2025 (tentative)
* Camera ready due: May 20, 2025 (strict)
* Workshop: May 29-30, 2025

Overview
This interdisciplinary and international workshop bridges the fields of Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics, bringing together researchers and professionals to discuss on various aspects related to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in different application domains, with particular attention to mountain territories.
Some examples include: (1) Adaptation to Climate Change in Mountain Regions, (2) Digital Mountain Ecosystems, (3) Smart Solutions for Remote Work in Mountain Areas, and (4) Sustainable Tourism.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* AI and Big Data for climate adaptation in mountain regions;
* Mountain digital ecosystems;
* Smart solutions for remote work in mountain areas;
* AI for sustainable tourism;
* Predictive modeling for environmental management;
* Multi-Agent Systems, agent-based theory and technology related to AI;
* Next-generation Socio-Technical Systems;
* Collaborative business processes and Process Mining;
* Multi-agent reinforcement learning;
* Data-driven strategies for managing tourism flows;
* Personalization of visitor experiences using AI and Big Data;
* Energy-saving networks and smart grid technology for remote offices;
* AI and Big Data for sustainable energy management;
* Integration of renewable energies with AI-based monitoring and optimization;
* Big Data applications for forecasting extreme weather conditions;
* Intelligent early warning systems for natural disasters;
* Computer vision for environmental change monitoring;
* The impact of AI on local economies in mountain communities;
* Smart infrastructure for sustainable mobility;
* Engineering applications of AI and Big Data.
Submission types
BDAI 2025 accepts the following types of not-already-published submissions:
* Full paper (10 pages excluding references)
* Short paper (5 pages excluding references)
Accepted contributions will be submitted for inclusion in a volume of the CEUR Workshop Proceedings<https://ceur-ws.org/>.

Submissions undergo a single blind review process, i.e. authors should include their names and affiliations in their manuscripts.
All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the program committee and evaluated on the basis of relevance, originality, significance, soundness, and clarity. Papers that exceed the page limits or formatting guidelines will be rejected without review.
