[agents] Fully funded PhD position in Social Robotics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology has an open PhD position in Social Robotics at the division of Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL).

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The CLEAR-BOT (CoLlaborative intElligence for human-Aligned RoBOTs) project aims to align robot learning with human intentions. Current AI systems often miss the nuances of human intentions, leading to unintended consequences. We aim to develop robots that learn true human intentions by combining direct human feedback with foundation models. 
The project focuses on (1) integrating human feedback with information from foundation models, and (2) creating a shared understanding between robots and humans, enabling robots to detect misalignment and proactively seek clarification for expanding and/or correcting their representation.

The student will be supervised by Iolanda Leite, Associate Professor at KTH.

The starting date for the position is flexible, but preferably March 1, 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have a degree in Computer Science or related fields. Experience with robotics, human-robot interaction, human-computer interaction, multimodal interaction, and machine learning are important.
