Dear colleagues (Apologies for cross-posting),

We are very pleased to invite you to submit your latest research results,
developments, and ideas to the 34th IEEE International Conference on Robot
and Human Interactive Communication, which will be held at the Eindhoven
University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, from August 25th to
29th, 2025.

The theme of the IEEE RO-MAN 2025 is “*Shaping our hybrid future with
robots together*.”

While robots become increasingly more able to socially interact with
people, it is important to start thinking about how we can shape a future
with these robots in which we collaborate and work together with these new
team members that are on the horizon. Rather than replacing us, our vision
is that robots will complement us. We envision a hybrid intelligence where
robots and humans together will be more able, effective, productive,
efficient, and fun to work with. To realize a successful integration of
these socially interactive robots into our society, we need to invest in a
future where human-robot teams could become prevalent. To this end, we need
to create a clear vision of this future and create innovations related to
interaction models, social capabilities, and the skills of these robots to
understand how they can work together with us.

The conference provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to
discuss a variety of topics related to the broad theme of Robot and Human
Interactive Communication involving theories, methodologies, technologies,
empirical and experimental studies, and generate more insights for the
future of Robot and Human Interactive Communication!

Please visit the office website, https://www.ro-man2025.org, for more
information.

The format of RO-MAN 2025 will be either "hybrid" or in-person only. The
committee will make a decision in early 2025.

Four types of sessions will be provided on RO-MAN 2025 (All deadlines are
23:59:59 PST):

· Regular Sessions

· Special Sessions

· Workshop/Tutorial Sessions

· Late Breaking Report Sessions

#############################################################

Call for Regular Papers

#############################################################

Papers related to the study of robotic technology, psychology, cognitive
science, artificial intelligence, human factors, ethics and policies,
interaction-based robot design, and other topics under the broad theme of
human-robot interaction are welcome. Manuscripts will be reviewed through
a rigorous single-blind peer-review process. The maximum length of
the final submission is 6 pages, with 2 additional pages allowed at an
extra charge. Papers presented in regular sessions will be included in the
official conference proceedings.

***Important Dates****

Regular Paper, Special Session Paper:

Submission Deadline: March 20, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: May 10, 2025

Camera-ready Deadline: June 6, 2025

#############################################################

Call for Proposals of Special Session and Papers of Special Sessions

#############################################################

The goal of special sessions is to provide a forum for focused oral
presentations featuring emerging topics or innovative applications of
established approaches. A typical special session consists of four to six
papers, each addressing a particular theme or presenting work done in an
international project or network. Each Special session is expected to run
for 80 minutes ~ to 2 hours.

All submitted Special Session papers will be subject to the same
peer-review process as regular papers and will be included in the main
conference proceedings (IEEE Xplore Digital Library).

#############################################################

Call for Proposals of Workshop & Tutorials

#############################################################

Workshop and tutorial should focus on key areas of active research and
provide a forum for participants to share new ideas and discuss recent
results. We encourage proposals for topics that have substantial community
interest, with a creative and innovative workshop/tutorial program that
will attract a broad audience. Workshops and tutorials focusing on
academia-industry partnerships and technology transfer of robotics research
are welcome.

Submission Deadline: February 10, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: March 8, 2025

#############################################################

Call for Late Breaking Report

#############################################################

The Late Breaking Reports Poster Session encourages prospective authors to
present their interesting work in progress to be visible to the
community and get feedback and visibility. Our aim is to provide an
excellent opportunity for researchers to present their most recent reports
and work-in-progress and/or indicate their insights into the future.

Accepted papers will be available to audiences through interactive (poster)
sessions throughout the whole conference, which will allow more time and
space for deeper interaction with researchers. You will be notified at an
appropriate time prior to the event of the exact format for presenting your
final work.

All accepted papers will NOT be included in the IEEE proceedings of the
conference and will not be submitted to IEEE for inclusion in the Xplore
database, such that the authors retain the copyright of their papers to
further develop them into an improved full paper in other venues. Do not
miss this chance to share your interesting new findings with the community.
