First CALL FOR PAPERS - A2HC at AAMAS 2022
XIV Workshop on Agents Applied in Healthcare
Part of the International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent
Systems 2022

Workshop website: https://a2hc.github.io/a2hc2022/
Fully ONLINE.

———————————————————————————
Aims and scope of A2HC
———————————————————————————

Submissions should concern the use of software agents (either bound to
physical devices or not) in the healthcare context, e.g.: equipment and
drug inventory management, patients clinical record and follow-up
management, patient monitoring in hospital or at home, planning patient
transportation and interventions, etc.

Topics like Healthy Ageing, Active Living, Chronic Disease Management,
Patient Empowerment or others related to Quality of Life are example of
domains of interest.

Clinical decision support systems, adaptive and intelligent workflow
management software, personal digital assistants, wearable technology
ecosystems and the like are all examples of systems of interest.

Core aspects of this workshop are:
1. Interdisciplinary research: special efforts will be devoted to
attracting the attention of healthcare and biomedical specialists so that
they attend the workshop and realize the potential benefits of agent
technology.
2. Applied research: the organizing committee will also pay special
attention to papers describing applications for both academia and
industries ready to be deployed in medical organizations.
3. Research devoted to integrating agents with other technologies from the
broad AI domain will be particularly welcome, such as machine learning,
multi-agent reinforcement learning, distributed planning;
4. Applications that include conversational agents (chatbots) to support
physical or mental patient health care will be warmly received.
5. Research devoted to explainable agents for interpretability and
explainability in healthcare will significantly contribute to the AI
agent-based domain.
6. Gamified Agent systems for supporting rehabilitation are
particularly welcome, such as agent-based application/research with
augmented or virtual reality for virtual coaching.

fruition of medical services
- Intelligent agents for patient monitoring and assisting diagnosis
- Agent-based information retrieval for gathering, aggregating, processing,
and organising various medical data available on Internet
- Legal and ethical issues related to the use of software agents in health
care
- Surveys providing an up to date view of the state of the art in the area
of agents in health care
- Agent technology for preference learning as in the case of personal
activity trainers
- Agent technology for resource planning and task allocation in hospital
environment

All accepted and presented papers will be published in a Special Issue of a
selected international Journal, that organisers are currently evaluating.

For publication, it is required that authors carefully revise their
manuscripts according to both the reviewers’ comments received while
submitting to the workshop, and the comments received from the audience
during the workshop.

A2HC 2022 will be co-located with the International AAMAS conference.

Due to the ongoing global COVID-19 situation, the whole AAMAS conference
will be held online: the workshop will accordingly be asynchronous and
online, which means that each person interprets the schedule in their own
time zone and an appropriate platform for sharing presentations and
engaging discussion will be setup and communicated to authors in due time.
