The School of Science and Technology at Örebro University is seeking one postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science for a fixed-term 2-year appointment. The position is associated with industry-funded research projects on developing novel solutions for safe and efficient mixed traffic in industrial settings, including mines, construction sites, public transport, and factories. The specific ambition is to create safe and efficient traffic management and fleet control systems without requiring the separation of human-driven and autonomous systems. The aim is to explore algorithms, protocols, norms, and control strategies that enable safe, live, and efficient traffic flow in shared environments.
The position provides the opportunity to work on an exciting and practically relevant problem in close cooperation with leading industry stakeholders, including Epiroc, LKAB, Scania, and Volvo. The developed approaches will be relevant in several application domains with an initial focus on underground mining.
