ACAI provides a wide range of state-of-the-art courses given by some of
the most prominent researchers in the area.
The notion of “Human Centric AI” is dominating the public AI debate in
Europe and elsewhere. It postulates a vision of AI beneficial to humans
on both individual and social level that is characterized by a focus on
supporting and empowering humans as well as incorporating “by design”
adherence to appropriate ethical standards and values such as privacy
protection, autonomy (human in control), and non-discrimination. Stated
this way (which is how it mostly appears in the political debate) it may
seem more like a broad, vague wish list than a tangible
scientific/technological concept. Yet, at a second glance, it turns out
that it is closely connected to some of the most fundamental challenges
of AI which are the core of ACAI2021 program
The program is packed with diverse activities, including tutorials (at
basic and advanced level), keynotes, panels, student presentations, and
more.
ACAI provides a wide range of state-of-the-art courses given by some of
the most prominent researchers in the area.
A typical course is broad enough to provide a general introduction to
the chosen topic, whilst also students can learn the most relevant
contributions in depth.
This year, ACAI offers an excelent tutorial curriculum, which covers
many important AI topics including Learning and Reasoning with Human in
the Loop, Multimodal Perception, Human Computer Interaction (HCI),
Social AI, Societal, Legal and Ethical Impact and more. Check out the
lecturers and tentative program:https://www.humane-ai.eu/event/acai2021/.
Confirmed keynote speakers include Yoshua Bengio (Turing Prize Winner),
Kate Crawford, Yvonne Rogers and Ben Shneidermann, and the winner of
EURAI’s dissertation award 2021.
