Call for Participation: Eighth International Workshop on Computational
Social Choice (COMSOC-2021), Technion-Israel Institute of Technology,
Haifa, Israel, June 7-10, 2021

COMSOC-2021 will take place as a hybrid event:
All of the events throughout the workshop will take place on the
Gather.town platform, via VirtualChair.
Tuesday June 8th will feature hybrid talks at the Technion IE&M department.

** note that the schedule on all days starts at 4pm Israel time = 9am EST **

Plenary speakers:
Maya Bar-Hiller (Hebrew University)
Gil Kalai (Henrew University) - the talk will be delivered on site at the
Technion hybrid event
Gabrielle Demange (Paris School of Economics)

Early registration ($5 / $10) is available until May 25. Late registration
will cost $15.
Registration covers both online and on-site attendance.

MISSION
***********************************************************

Computational social choice is a rapidly growing discipline at the
interface of social choice theory and computer science. It is concerned
with the application of computational techniques to the study of social
choice mechanisms, and with the integration of social choice paradigms into
computing. The workshop aims to bring together different communities:
computer scientists interested in computational issues in social choice;
people working in artificial intelligence and multiagent systems who are
using ideas from social choice to organize societies of artificial software
agents; logicians interested in the logic-based specification and analysis
of social procedures; and last but not least, researchers coming from
social choice theory itself: economists, mathematicians and computer
scientists.

Current political situation
*********************************************************
The unfolding situation in Israel will not affect the program of
COMSOC-2021 for people attending online.
We are monitoring the situation, and will release a final decision on
whether going fully online closer to the date of the workshop, putting the
safety of COMSOC participants at the top of our priorities.
