Call for
Presentation
Workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Simulation for Natural Disaster
Management
to be held
Online - July 01, 2021
https://rescuesim.robocup.org/events/upcoming-events/2021-workshop/
Co-located with
the
RoboCup 2021
https://2021.robocup.org
DESCRIPTION
The intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and simulation may
contribute
to the advance of natural disaster management. AI tools and simulation
models,
however, have to embed the required features and capabilities in order to be
useful on real-world situations. Hence, the collaboration with field experts
and policy-makers in the natural disaster domain becomes essential.
The workshop aims to gather together and build a community of researchers,
disaster responders, and policy-makers interested in developing and applying
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and simulation techniques for natural disaster
management.
This workshop is relevant because it will help to create a bridge between
technology experts and disaster management practitioners aligning their
understand, interpretation, and expectations of each other enabling an
environment for the exchange of ideas.
The workshop will be composed of a set of presentation sessions for the
sharing
experiences and perspectives on natural disaster management. Policy-makers
and
disaster responders will present how a disaster response plans are
respectively
designed and executed on the field, while researchers will introduce AI and
simulation tools that can be used to support on natural disaster management
tasks.
You are invited to present at the Artificial Intelligence and Simulation for
Natural Disaster Management workshop held online on July 01, 2021.
