***Apologies for cross-posting.***
Dear colleagues,
The ESSA SIG on "Using qualitative data to inform behavioural rules in agent-based models<http://cfpm.org/qual2rule/>" is organising a session during the morning of the 15th September in Social Simulation Week 2020 (SSW2020<http://ssc2020.behavelab.org/programme/>). Agent-based simulation can be related to qualitative as well as quantitative data. For example, qualitative input might be used to inform the micro-level specification of agent behaviour in simulations that are then run and compared to aggregate quantitative data. However using qualitative data can seem daunting, partly because there are no established methods for doing this. The goal of this SSW2020 session is to discuss methods for integrating qualitative and quantitative data in agent-based models, with reference to worked examples.
If you would like to hold a short presentation during this session, please send a proposal by the 9th of August, by email to melania.borit at uit.no<mailto:melania.borit at uit.no>.
The proposal should include:
- the title of the presentation;
- the authors and their affiliation;
- a max 300 words description of what you want to present;
- some published material or any other kind of material that can be shared with the participants around one week before the SSW2020 session.
Have a nice summer,
Melania and Bruce.
