KI2020 is the 43rd edition of the German conference on Artificial Intelligence organized in cooperation with the Fachbereich Künstliche Intelligenz of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI-SIG AI). KI is one of the major European AI conferences and traditionally brings together academic and industrial researchers from all areas of AI, providing an ideal place for exchanging news and research results on theory and applications.
KI2020 will not be cancelled nor postponed. It will happen either fully or partially virtually. We still hope having a meeting in person in UNESCO World Heritage town Bamberg, but will decide whether this is actually possible before the registration is opening in July. Virtual participation will be possible in any case.
The technical program of KI2020 comprises paper presentations as well as a doctoral consortium, tutorials and workshops. We are happy to announce keynote talks of
* Anthony G. Cohn (University of Leeds, UK),
* Hector Geffner (Institució Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avançats and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain),
* Jana Koehler (DFKI),
* Nada Lavrac (Jožef Stefan Institute, Slovenia),
* Sebastian Riedel (Facebook AI Research, University College London) and
* Ulli Waltinger (Siemens Corporate Technology, Germany)
A special spotlight is put on education by a new initiative, the StudentDay at KI2020.
Call for Papers for Main Conference
KI2020 will have a focus on human-centered AI with special highlights on AI and Education and explainable machine learning. Besides this special focus, KI2020 invites original research and application papers on all aspects of AI research
Submissions are accepted in three categories: Full technical papers (12 pages max), technical communications for research in progress (6 pages max) and abstracts of papers accepted at most recent editions of other high-ranked conferences (3 pages max). Full papers and technical communications will be subject to blind peer review based on the standard criteria of relevance, significance of results, originality of ideas, soundness, and quality of the presentation. Papers accepted in this process will be published in the main conference proceedings, published by Springer in the LNAI series and will be presented at the conference. Detailed information as well as the link to easychair can be found on the conference webpage.
