Conference Dates

*Tutorials, Doctoral Consortium, Workshops: 9-10 May 2020*
*Main Conference: 11-13 May 2020*
Information for Authors

The AAMAS Demo track seeks to provide opportunities for participants from
academia and industry to present their latest developments in agent-based
and robotic systems. Interactive systems and novel applications are
particularly welcome.

Two “Best Demo” awards will be presented recognizing the most innovative
demo (i.e., the demo with the most original research contribution) and the
best application demo (i.e., the demo with the most impact in a real-world
application) respectively.
Topics of Interest

*Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:*

   - Systems that implement agents in practical application areas such as
engineering (e.g., transportation, robotics), societal challenges (e.g.,
climate, energy), health care, education, and economy (e.g., e-commerce,
   finance).
   - Systems that provide development environments and tools to assist in
the specification, design, implementation, and/or testing of agent systems.
   - Systems that model, understand, and/or explain the behavior of virtual
agents, humans, agent-based simulation systems, and/or social robots.

Submission Requirements

Submissions accepted for the Demo Track will be advertised on the AAMAS
website and will be included in the conference proceedings. Each submission
must consist of the following elements:

   - Paper (maximum five pages):
      - Two-three pages to describe the system to be demonstrated. The
authors are encouraged to discuss the application domain, the
problem, the
      underlying scientific/technological challenges, the agent/multi-agent
techniques involved, the innovations of the system, and
interactive aspects
      (if any).
      - One page (maximum) listing the bibliographic references.
      - One page (maximum) describing the list of requirements to present
the demo at the conference venue.

Each paper must be prepared using the AAMAS style files and submitted as
in PDF format. Submissions not conforming to the guidelines above may be
   summarily rejected.
   - Video (maximum five minutes, 10MB):
      - The paper should contain a URL to a demonstration video of no more
than five minutes in duration (MP4, QuickTime or YouTube format)
explaining
      the working of the system.
      - The video should be understandable without sound if possible (e.g.,
include annotations), making it easier to play them at the
conference venue
(more details below). The video should include (at the beginning
and at the
end) the title of the demonstration and the track number provided by the
      submission system.
      - Submissions should be made through the Demo Track submission system
      on ConfMaster (https://aamas.confmaster.net/user/accounts/login/).
Accepted Demo papers will be included in the AAMAS proceedings. Videos of
accepted demo papers will be played (with no sound) during
breaks and demo
sessions to increase visibility. At least one author of each accepted
demonstration is required to register and attend the conference
to present
      the work.

Selection Process

The submission and selection process for the Demo Track of AAMAS 2020 will
be separate from that of the main conference. Each submission will be
assessed by the Program Committee for this track. The authors will receive
a brief evaluation report with the notification. The evaluation criteria
are:

   - Relevance to the AAMAS conference and audience
   - Significance and originality
   - Video content and presentation
   - Maturity and readiness of the demonstration
   - Potential for public interaction
   - Potential impact in the target application domain
   - Potential interest to a broader audience
