Job Description:

We are seeking researchers who are passionate about Data Science and
Computational Social Science to join Dr. Talal Rahwan’s lab. Some of the
research questions that excite us as a group include topics in: (i) network
science, (ii) ethics of AI and automation; (iii) social media analysis (iv)
collaboration and team work, (v) online controlled experiments.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working with a PhD in
Computer Science or Information Science, or any other related field. The
position requires experience with at least one of the following: Data
Science, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science. Relevant skills
include statistical analysis, data management and collection, big data,
causal inference, network analysis, graph theory, visualizations, online
tool development, and agent-based simulation. Experience in conducting
online controlled experiments is also desired, but not required. Excellent
communication skills in English, ability to work in multidisciplinary
teams, and scientific creativity are essential.

The position provides salary higher than internationally competitive rates
for postdoctoral positions, in addition to substantial benefits (generous
housing, transportation and travel allowances, educational subsidies for
children), together with full health insurance and retirement
contributions. The UAE does not levy income tax.
