Call for Papers

*Journal title: *Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies
(ETT)

*Special issue title* Enabling AI Technologies for Internet of Energy

*Aims and Scope: *

Utilities industry is a category of stocks for utilities which is broken
down into 4 main areas, namely: plants, transmission and distribution,
energy trading and risk management, and cybersecurity. Those sectors are
traditionally working in silos and generating big isolated data at
exponentially growing rates. However, future utilities management imposes
homogenizing all data to become integrated into a unified system for a
timely informed decision. The Internet-of-Energy (IoE) adopts the Internet
of Things (IoT) technologies to optimise the efficiency of the distributed
utilities’ infrastructure for the purpose of reducing data and power
wastage. Besides, the on-trend IoE works at unlocking the siloed big data
by exploiting Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and data analysis
algorithms of Machine Learning (ML). Thereof, the IoE promotes obtaining
conversant results for both utilities and consumers when required. This
notwithstanding, there are still many overlooked issues and challenges that
hinder the full realization and benefits of AI for IoE in terms of big data
analysis, mining, processing, and prediction. The aim of this special issue
is to bring together researchers from academia, industry, and individuals,
who work on selected areas of AI, ML and DL with big data and IoE, to share
their latest ideas and research findings within the research and industry
communities.

*Topics of Interest:*

The special issue aims to cover topics that include, but not limited to,
the following:

· IoE big data fusion techniques

· IoT technologies for IoE

· Applied ML and AI technologies for IoE

· IoE big data security

· IoE cyber-physical system energy consumption and reduction

· AI and ML capabilities within IoE utilities

· Optimization techniques for extracting the full potentials of IoE

· Development and deployment of IoE learning environment

· Performance design, modeling and evaluation of IoE

· Green IoE Communication Applications and Services

· 5G technologies for IoE

*Coherent list of topics: *

Papers must be tailored to the emerging fields of IoT and IoE, and
explicitly consider recent advancements in machine learning and artificial
intelligence novel tools and techniques for IoE big data. The guest editors
maintain the right to reject papers they deem to be out of scope of this
special issue. Only originally unpublished contributions and invited
articles will be considered for this special issue. The papers should be
formatted according to the ETT guidelines (
