Aims and Scope

After the first successful nineteen editions, the twentieth edition of the Workshop "From Objects to Agents" (WOA) will be held in Parma to serve as a forum for researchers and practitioners working on all aspects of agents and multi-agent systems. Following the significant interest that all facets of Artificial Intelligence have been recently obtaining, the theme of the twentieth edition of WOA is


Software Agents in the Age of Artificial Intelligence


The workshop is intended to foster discussions on the intricate relationship between software agents and Artificial Intelligence in the view of the opportunities that the vivid interest in Artificial Intelligence brings to software agents and agent-based software development.


Topics of Interest

Topics of interest of the workshop include, but are not limited to:

- Adaptive, animated and personality-driven agents

- Agent-based software engineering

- Agent-based languages and platforms

- Agent-oriented methods and development tools

- Agents and objects

- Agents and supporting technologies for cooperation

- Agents and e-commerce

- Agents and sensor networks

- Coordination, cooperation and communication for agents

- Hardware and software infrastructures for agents and multi-agent systems

- Learning, planning and reasoning for agents

- Relations between software agents and Artificial Intelligence

- Relations between software agents and other software technologies

- Security, trust and responsibility in multi-agent systems

- Software agents and the Web

- Standards and interoperability for agents and multi-agent systems

- Theoretical, conceptual and ontological basis of agents and multi-agent systems

Contributions

The workshop welcomes research contributions which would allow to solicit the discussion and brainstorming about any relevant aspect related to agents and multi-agent systems, either practical or theoretical/conceptual. Accepted contributions will be included in a volume of the CEUR Workshop Proceedings.


Contributions of 6-8 pages should follow the IEEE conference template (<https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html>https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html).
