This position will support three different research projects with overlapping technical needs for a researcher with interest in and skills related to tablet-based user interface development and data-backed human-agent interaction. The researcher will contribute to three research projects: an EPSRC-funded project to help Stroke patients monitor and self-manage treatment; an internally funded project to help patients with Diabetic foot ulcer monitor and self-manage treatment; and an internally funded project to help researchers explore data concerning the UK Arts and Culture sector. Successful candidate will have a strong programming background, particularly with skills in tablet interface design and development (e.g., Android) and database development (e.g., mySQL), and excellent time-management, organisational and communication skills. Interest in one or more of the following specialised areas in artificial intelligence/robotics is desirable: human-agent interaction; robotic sensors or health (wellness/biometric) sensors; computational argumentation. Experience writing research papers is also desirable.
The selection process will include competency-based questions, a short research presentation and a panel interview.
