The Faculty of Informatics at PUCRS in Porto Alegre (Brazil) has one
Postdoc and one PhD positions available to work on a project related
to the use of UAVs and UGVs for mitigation and prevention of natural
disasters. This is a research project in collaboration with the
Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Federal University of Santa
Catarina, and Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.

The ideal applicant for the postdoc position would have experience in:
(i) the electronics involved in developing UAVs and UGVs, (ii)
developing autonomous software including the use of AI techniques such
as automated planning, and (iii) using image processing techniques,
such as photogrammetry, and (iv) geo-processing open software such 
OpenGeo Suite. However, applicants with experience in any of
these three areas and willing to venture into the others are also
welcome.

All positions are for four years; the selected postdoc researcher will
receive a stipend of R$ 4,100 pcm, and the PhD student receive a
scholarship of R$ 2,200 pcm. Please send informal enquires and CVs to
