The University of Essex is seeking to recruit two Research Fellows to develop world leading research in the Institute for Analytics and Data Science (IADS). The Fellows will be funded for three years, and it is expected that once each Fellowship is successfully completed the appointed candidates will transfer to a permanent, established position.

The successful candidate will act as a focus and a catalyst for multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and collaboration within IADS, and will facilitate interaction with a number of academic departments and research centres within the University, but also external research organisations and businesses. As part of this, the Fellows will work in a range of research and development projects within IADS, contribute to the development of new research proposals and projects, undertake and support the supervision of PhD students in related areas and contribute to knowledge exchange and education activities.

The successful candidates will have access to a strong and vibrant research community, and will have the support of an able and proactive research management team. Within this framework s/he will have the opportunity to use her/his initiative within IADS to develop internationally leading research while also promoting a distinctive and inspiring collaboration with other researchers within IADS, the University and external organisations and businesses.
