University of Bath Computer Science has 5 PhD studentships funded under 
the EU's CO-FUND scheme, whereby the studentships are associated with 
the University's Centre for Digital Entertainment in the Department of 
Computer Science: http://www.digital-entertainment.org/.

Applications are welcome in any area of Computer Science, but should 
connect with:

a) one of the Department's research groups: Human Computer Interaction, 
Media Technology, Mathematical Foundations and Intelligent Systems

b) the broad range of topics addressed by the Centre for Digital 
Entertainment

Studentships are for 4 years, include a salary of £17,000 and are 
available to any nationality as long as they have not resided, or 
carried out their main activity (work or studies), in the UK for more 
than 12 months in the 3 years prior.

Marie Sklodowska­-Curie Research Fellowship Programme
Fellows with Industrial Research Enhancement (FIRE)

We seek applications for ten 4­year PhD Fellowships.

These are fully­-funded staff appointments, with a requirement that 
successful candidates register for a PhD.

Each position is associated with one of our two Centres for Doctoral 
Training:

Centre for Digital Entertainment (Department of Computer Science):

Research topics will be chosen from the broad range that these Centres 
cover.

The positions are based at the University and require some continuing 
involvement with an appropriate company. The relevant Centre will 
facilitate this involvement for you.

The University of Bath is a campus University overlooking the World 
Heritage City of Bath. Facilities are outstanding and working conditions 
excellent.

Applicants may be from anywhere in the world, but must not have resided, 
or carried out their main activity (work or studies), in the UK for more 
than 12 months in the 3 years prior.

Applicants must:
o comply with the EU definition of Early Stage Researchers 
(specifically, not having previously been awarded a doctoral degree);
o be in possession of, or be expected to be awarded prior to 
commencement of the Fellowship, a masters level (four year) degree, or 
equivalent experience following a three year degree:
­   - in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Physics, Computer 
Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, 
Biology and Biochemistry, or a cognate discipline (the qualifying degree),
­   - at a level of a first or upper second class grade, or equivalent; and
o meet the English language requirements of the University of Bath, 
Science Graduate School (currently a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, with at 
least 6.0 in each of the four components).

Salary: £17,000 pa

Appointments to commence: 28 September 2015 and are on a fixed term 
basis of up to 4 years.
