Salary: £31,342 - £34,233 per annum

Applications are invited for this fixed-term post which is offered from 1st March 2015 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for 12 months. The person appointed will work on the Data Analytics Driven by Ontologies (DADO) project, a collaborative research and development project funded by InnovateUK under the supervision of Professor Fasli (CSEE, Principal Investigator) and in collaboration with Obrussa.



The project will explore and develop novel and adaptive data exploration methods and machine learning techniques which will make use of ontologies and other user-specific information in order to deliver innovative education and e-assessment services to learners.



The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the areas of machine learning, semantic web technologies, knowledge representation & reasoning as well as ontologies, and a strong programming background. Knowledge and understanding of the area of e-learning and e-assessment is also desirable, but not essential. Candidates should be graduates of computer science or information systems and be in possession of a good postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or related area.



Appointment to this full-time post will be from 1st March 2015 or as soon as possible, based at our Colchester Campus.
