Symposium on Temporal Networks,
Human Dynamics & Social Physics
http://tnetsphys14.org/
in conjunction with NetSci'14
Berkeley California, June 2-6 2014

Submissions are invited for the Symposium on Temporal Networks, Human
Dynamics & Social Physics (http://tnetsphys14.org/), which will be
co-located with the International School and Conference on Network
Science (http://www.netsci2014.net/) in Berkeley, California, June 2-6
2014.
A clear understanding of human interactions and more generally social
dynamics has a wide range of applications, ranging from social
sciences to information technology, and more fundamentally it is
crucial for the design and modeling of social organizations,
companies, and governments that are more efficient, responsive, and
creative. In this context, however, little is known about the temporal
properties of social dynamics and their effects on relevant diffusion
processes such as epidemics, and ideas spreading. The aim of the
symposium is to bring together researchers interested in the use of
network science and human behavioral data to improve our understanding
of the physics of human social behavior.
The list of topics that we aim to cover at the symposia is the following:
- Modeling of human behavior
- Empirical measurements of human behavior
- Dynamic interplay between social temporal networks and human behavior
- Empirical measurements of temporal networks
- Representation of time-resolved datasets
- Analysis and characterization of temporal networks
- Modeling of temporal networks
- Dynamical processes on temporal networks
The meeting will be one day long and will host around 10 contributed
talks. Submissions will be evaluated and selected by the Program
Committee members, based on the adherence with the theme of the
satellite, originality and scientific soundness.
