Special Session on Trust in Fused Information


Dear colleagues


We cordially invite you to submit contributions for the Trust in Fused Information special session at the International Conference on Information Fusion (Fusion 2014), which will take place in Salamanca, Spain, from 7th July to 10th July, 2014; the Fusion conference is the premier venue to discuss the advancement in information fusion research.

On the back of an exciting and successful sessions at Fusion 2012 and 2013, this year, we propose a session to review the advancements made in trustworthiness, reliability, and fusion of multimodal information where uncertainty associated with data/information plays a key role in making informed decisions, especially in data-to-decision (D2D) domain.

The selected contributions will be presented orally at the conference and be included in the conference proceedings published by IEEE.  Furthermore, selected papers will be invited to submit extensions to a journal (SCI indexed) special issue.

The topics of interest include but not limited to the following:
 - Trust estimation and modeling
 - Trust-based fusion
 - Trust and evidential reasoning
 - Reliability of fused information
 - Trust metrics for reliable fusion
 - Conflict detection and resolution
 - Data-to-Decision frameworks
 - Stream reasoning and trust
 - Integrating trust to information fusion
 - Trustworthy crowdsourcing
