DESCRIPTION

The Special Session on Intelligent Educational Systems is focused on providing a forum in which researchers from academia from many disciplines can discuss issues on the design and application of intelligent educational systems. Nowadays, there is a growing interest in providing computer-based facilities for improving the educational methodologies. Artificial intelligence has emerged as one of the most promising technologies for developing systems for improving the student learning and assessment processes as well as enhancing the student-teacher interaction.

We encourage the submission of papers describing any kind of intelligent technologies for developing educational systems and experiences. We are particularly interested in educational systems that allow intelligent technologies to be adopted by faculty members.

Specific topics for this Special Session include, but are not limited to:

SUBMISSION and REVIEW DETAILS
---------------------------------
Papers will be peer-reviewed by at least 3 reviewers from the Program Committee. Criteria for the selection of papers will include: high quality, clear presentation, novelty of research, relevance to the topics and coverage of relevant state of the art.

All papers must be formatted according to the LNCS/LNAI template, with a maximum length of 10-12 pages, including figures and references for the PAAMS 2014 main track

All proposed papers must be submitted in electronic form (PDF format) using the PAAMS 2014 conference management system (https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=paams14). Remember to select the track SS9-SSIES - Intelligent Educational Systems when submit the paper.
