Dear colleagues,

The Research Group on Computer Networks and Communications,
led by Prof. Dr. Hermann de Meer, located at the Department
of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of
Passau, Germany, invites applications for three full-time
PhD / Research Associate positions.


The three positions are attributed to the following research
topics and projects, respectively:

(1) *Demand/Response Based on Renewable Power Generation Models in Smart 
Cities*
(DC4Cities project; please apply until: 1 January 2014)

(2) *IT Security in Virtualized Environments and Virtual Networks*
(FORSEC project; please apply until: 15 January 2014)

(3) *Risk and Security Management in Smart Grid*
(HYRIM project; please apply until: 1 January 2014)


Applicants should hold an excellent MSc or BSc degree in
Computer Science or related subjects; strong knowledge in
Computer Networking, Power Management (Smart Grid), and/or
IT Security is desired.

The offered PhD / Research Associate positions are paid according
to TV-L E13 (cf.
