----
Aims and Scope
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Since 2002, AAMAS has become one of the most important forums of discussion
regarding agents and multi-agents systems.
The Multi-Agent Systems for Healthcare 2014 Workshop intends to provide a
discussion forum on the most recent and innovative work regarding the study
and application of multi-agent systems and related concepts to healthcare.
The use of this kind of systems in healthcare applications constitutes an
increasingly important area research. There is a growing interest in these
applications in different
environments such as patient clinical record and follow-up management,
patient monitoring in either a hospital or home environment, and patient
transportation scheduling.
Covering a wide spectrum of research areas, MASH'14 intends to bring
together communities from Agents/Multi-Agent Systems and clinicians working
on Healthcare, providing a presentation and discussion forum for researchers
in the area, highlighting innovative approaches, multidisciplinary works,
and defining future research directions. Both theoretical and practical
research works are welcome.

Submissions should concern the use of agents (virtual or physics)
encompassed in the healthcare context - e.g. ranging from equipment and drug
inventory management to patient clinical record and follow-up management, or
even patient monitoring in either a hospital or home environment, and
patient transportation scheduling.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Mobile Agents in Hospital Environments
- Impact of Agents and Robots in Patient Quality of Life
- Robotics in Healthcare (Prosthetics / Surgical Robotics)
- Patient Empowerment through Personalized Agent-based Systems
- Medical Agent-based Decision Support Systems, including Recommender
Systems, Patient Diagnosis and Monitoring Systems
