ISCOD/Institut Henri Fayol/Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne (ENSM-SE) 
ENSM-SE (http:://www.emse.fr) is a state-owned institution, placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, member of the Mines Telecom Institute. The school is dedicated to education and research and is closely connected to the development of the corporate world. The Henri Fayol Institute recently opened to federate researches done in industrial engineering, computer science, environment and management around the theme of global company performance. The Henri Fayol Institute is divided into four departments, of which one is dedicated to computer science, with a central theme in Decentralized, Cooperative and Open Systems (ISCOD). The department's research themes focus on knowledge and context for content access, service coordination and adaptation, and trust and privacy in digital society. The main application domains relate to companies’ information systems, Web and ambient computing.

Job description 
The candidate’s primary responsibilities include conducting research in one of the field done in the ISCOD group, assisting in the supervision of PhD students in the field, acquiring external research funding, teaching and developing new education at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Computer Science, and performing department and university management tasks. Important topics of research include, but are not limited to multi-agent systems, semantic web, information retrieval, data mining, trust, security and privacy. We expect the applicant to actively collaborate with other researchers from academia as well as industry to realise this ambition. 

Requirements 
The successful candidate has obtained a PhD in the research field, has proven knowledge and experience in the field, preferably demonstrated through a strong publication record. The candidate is an enthusiastic team player with the ambition to strengthen and expand the research of the ISCOD group. The candidate has experience in providing education at the university level and the ability to obtain research funding through the acquisition of national or international research projects.  

Conditions of employment 
This is a full-time, tenure-track position. In accordance with Ecoles des Mines's teacher status (decree no.2077-468 dated 28 March 2007), the candidates will have a PhD or equivalent recognized qualification with a level at least equivalent to that of the required national diplomas. The candidates must come from a European Union country on the day they submit their application (Law 83-634 dated 13 July 83 on rights and duties of civil servants, Art. 5 and 5bis).

Even if the focus is on Trust, security and privacy, candidates developing strong and hight quality research in one of the other fields will be also considered. We expect the applicant to actively collaborate with other researchers from academia as well as industry to realise this ambition.
