Örebro University offers an exciting two-year Master’s program for
students seeking to gain high-profile competence in Robotics and
Intelligent Systems. The program provides solid practical and
theoretical knowledge in intelligent systems with a particular
emphasis on robotic systems. Its vision is to create a new generation
of highly competitive research leaders, ready to engage in successful
careers in modernized industry, service organizations or academia.

= Cognitive Robotics, Perception and Control =
The program profiles itself in the fusion between cognition, control
and perception. The first year is dedicated to in-depth courses
covering fundamental  topics, such as artificial intelligence, mobile
robots, sensing, control and machine learning. The second year focuses
on practical work and integration, and culminates with a Master’s
thesis.

= A Dual Focus on Research and Industry =
All teaching in the program is provided by researchers in the Center
for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS, aass.oru.se). AASS is a
renown research center in robotics and intelligent systems with many
international connections. Teaching and supervision within the program
are intimately connected to research: courses are at a sufficiently
advanced level to be driven by current research topics, and project
work that is assigned in the second year provides students with the
unique opportunity to participate in cutting edge research programs.
Moreover, many of these research projects involve important industrial
partners (e.g., ABB, Volvo, Atlas-Copco, Danaher Motion, Stora Enso
and Linde). Through these partnerships, the program can offer
interested students competitive industry-oriented projects and Msc
theses in the second year.

= Career =
The unique mix of research- and industry-driven focus of the program
has resulted in an excellent track record. Our graduates consistently
earn prestigious positions both in research and industry.

= How to Apply =
Non-Swedish applicants must apply at www.universityadmissions.se
(deadline: Jan 16th, 2012).  Swedish applicants must apply at
www.studera.nu (deadline: April 15th, 2012).

= Tuition =
Tuition for students from EU/EEA/Switzerland is FREE OF CHARGE
Tuition for non-EU/EEA/Switzerland students: 196800 SEK (total fee for
two years)
Scholarships available for non-EU/EEA students, see
www.studyinsweden.se/Scholarships

= More Information =
All courses are taught in English.  For more information on the
program and entry requirements, visit www.oru.se/nt/robotics.
