*COREMAS*
Special session on :
"COoperative and RE-configurable MultiAgent System for Industrial
Environments"
---
Located at PAAMS'2012 : the 10th International Conference on Practical
Applications of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems
Location : University of Salamanca (Spain)
Date : 28-30th March, 2012, http://www.paams.net
---
OBJECTIVES
Markets are currently imposing very strong requirements, demanding
customized products with shorter delivery times and shorter
life-cycles, forcing companies to adapt their processes by having
flexible, reconfigurable production plants, which leads to the
challenge of having systems that exhibit better re-configurability,
robustness and responsiveness.
The agent technology is a recognize and promising approach to address
this current challenge, introducing an alternative way to design
control systems based on the decentralization of control functions
over distributed autonomous and cooperative entities; the overall
control system being achieved by cooperation among these entities.
This session is seeking contributions providing requirements,
challenges, methods, tools, techniques, experiences, demonstrations
and roadmaps that will help the industry assess the application of
cooperative agent technology in manufacturing, logistics and services
domains.
Particular attention may be given to the industrial applications of
such systems.
---
TOPICS OF INTEREST
We seek contributions providing requirements, challenges, methods,
tools, techniques, experiences, demonstrations and roadmaps that will
help the industry assess the application of cooperative agent
technology in manufacturing, logistics and services domains.
Specifically, the special session topics include, but are not limited to:
* fault-recovery in multi-agent systems,
* models of cooperation and coordination for autonomous agents,
* predicting and controlling emergence of behavior in multi-agent systems,
* self-adaptation of roles and/or services in multi-agent systems,
* delegation tasks, reconfiguration tasks in multi-agent systems,
* case studies that shows self-adaptation or self-organization in
multi-agent systems,
* models of self-management for multi-agent systems,
* models and meta-models of self-organizing multi-agent systems,
* Power and Energy Systems (Smart Grids).
