- CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
-------------------------------- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Workshops @ ISAmI 2011 are a good oportunity and an effective place
to complement the regular program with new or emerging topics of
particular interest in the field of Ambient Intelligence.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit Workshop Proposals
on topics relevant to Ambient Intelligence, that emphasize on
multi-disciplinary and transversal aspects. Also, cutting-edge topics
are especially encouraged and welcome.

- Assignment of responsibilities
-------------------------------- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The Workshop Organizing Committee will be responsible for:
- Producing and distributing the Workshop Call for Papers (CfP);
- Adopt ISAmI 2011 submission guidelines, and advertise them on
its CfP;
- Coordinating the review process for the papers submitted to the
Workshop, ensuring that each paper is reviewed by, at least, three
program committee members;
- Assisting the ISAmI 2011 Program Chair with the paper selection
process;
- Delivering final versions of accepted papers for the Workshop in
accordance with the guidelines defined by the ISAmI 2011
Organization;
- Coordinating Workshop Sessions;
- Presenting a short report of the Workshop at the ISAmI 2011 Closing
Session.
The ISAmI 2011 Organization will be responsible for:
- All local arrangements, including the meeting place for the
Workshop Sessions;
- Publishing the Workshop papers;
- A web-based tool to support the entire scientific organization
process (paper submission, paper reviewing, paper selection, etc.).
In case of any disagreement over procedures or arrangements,
ISAmI 2011 Organization will have final authority.
The ISAmI 2011 Organization reserves the right to cancel any workshop
if deadlines are missed, or if the number of registered attendees is
too low to support the costs related to organizing and running the
Workshop.

- Workshops schedule

ISAmI 2011 will be held at University of Salamanca (isami.usal.es),
between 6th-8th April, 2011.
Workshops @ ISAmI 2011 should be a half day event and will take
place on Thursday morning, 7th April, 2011.

- Publishing & Registration

Workshop papers will be published in conjunction with the ISAmI 2011
main conference proceedings, except if otherwise defined by the
Workshop Chairs.
Workshop registration process and fees will be the same as regular
ISAmI 2011 papers.
Note that, each accepted workshop paper will have to do a full paper
registration in order for the paper to be published.
Workshop partitipants will have full access to the ISAmI 2011 main
conference sessions.

- Proposal contents

Workshop Proposals, not exceeding three pages, should include the
following information:
- Workshop title;
- A brief description of the specific scientific/technical scope of
the Workshop (max 500 words);
- A list of topics of interest;
- Name, postal address, phone and fax numbers, and email address of
all the members of the workshop Organizing Committee;
- Identification of the member of the Workshop Organizing Committee
to be the contact person.
Optionally, consider to include, also, the following information:
- The list of members of the Workshop Program Committee;
- A preliminary version of the Workshop Call for Papers;
- Planned forms of publicizing the workshop.
Workshop Proposals will be evaluated by the ISAmI Steering Committee,
based on the timelines of the topic and the qualifications of the
organizers.

- Proposal submission

Workshop Proposals should be submitted electronically, in PDF, to
analide at di.uminho.pt. The deadline for Workshop Proposals is
21st October, 2010.
Notification of acceptance will be sent to the organizers by
24th October, 2010.
