CALL FOR PAPERS

International Workshop on Agents in Cultural Context
February 22-23, 2010
Kyoto University, Japan

The main theme of this workshop is how computational agents can be
involved in cultural context. We are interested in both visible and
invisible agents to support intercultural communication and
collaboration to increase mutual understanding in our multicultural  
world.

This workshop is a part of the First International Conference on Culture
and Computing (http://www.ai.soc.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp/culture2010/ 
index.html).

Unlike other conferences, this conference consists of various
symposiums, workshops, panels, demos, excursions, etc. Workshop
attendees are invited to join any other events.

Paper:

Papers are solicited on any aspect of agents in cultural context. Papers
can address technologies to realize cultural agents, or laboratory and
field studies of agents for intercultural communication and  
collaboration.

Submit your abstract written in English, by e-mail to
culture[at]ai.soc.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp. Submitted abstracts of papers should
consist of about 1500-2000 words in PDF. No special format is required
for abstract submission.

Accepted papers should be submitted camera-ready in Springer Lecture
Note Series format. See

Full papers should be 12 to 15 pages long in the LNCS format.
Selected papers will be included in the post-proceedings of
International Conference on Culture and Computing.

Deadline for extended abstracts: December 20, 2009
Author notification: January 11, 2010
Deadline for camera ready paper: January 31, 2010
Deadline for camera ready post-proceedings paper: March 31, 2010
