Agent Profile and Metamodel (AMP)
    Request For Proposal

The OMG is now developing two standards : UPMS (SOA) and EMP (EDA/SOA).
These emerging standards includes the class Agent in them to handle service
and event handling. In order to take the next step and provide a richer
standard for agents and agent-based systems, an additional standards is
being proposed by the OMG. Currently an RFP (request for proposal) is being
created for this purpose:

Agent Profile and Metamodel (AMP)
    Request For Proposal

This Request for Proposal solicits submissions for an Agent Metamodel and
Profile (AMP). Essentially, the AMP RFP requests a metamodel and profile for
extending UML with capabilities applicable to agents and agent-based
software.

Submissions developed in response to this RFP will achieve the following:

€ Clarify semantics concerned with modeling Agents using a UML Profile

€ Establish Agent modeling best practices for UML by incorporating
constraints from the UML Profile and Metamodel for Services (UPMS) and
the Event Metamodel and Profile (EMP) submissions.

€ Provide a UML metamodel to address the modeling needs of developers
     employing Agent-based approaches.

€ Enable Agent model interchange between tools via XMI.

It is expected that responses to this RFP will make good use of Agent
modeling capabilities already supported by the OMG.

RFP, please contact me. We welcome all individuals and organizations to
